Our story

Everything started with a vision, in 1997, while he was studying in Rome, Father Miled Tarabay, musicologist and composer, decided to gather talented people from his country, Lebanon, who were passionate about 3 things: SINGING, LEBANON, and CULTURE.

This group became QOLO.

"I believe that music is a way to connect with others, so we perform in a way that will leave a trace in our audiences, even if they have different mentality and culture. Music helps to define us, creating our communal self-identity.”

Father Miled Tarabay, Qolo's founder.

Today, Qolo is a non-profit organization linked to the OLM (Lebanese Maronite Order) and counts more than 400 members including choirs, directors, assistants, music school teachers and students.

Between 1997 and 2016, 8 CD albums were launched.

Qolo performed many concerts all across the world: Lebanon, France, Australia (Sydney Opera House), Jordan, Turkey, Switzerland, Belgium, and Italy.

Our philosophy

Our programs are designed to spark artistic as well as cultural curiosity and interest, encouraging our members to explore and learn more about our history. By enabling them to develop their creativity, we help them find their own unique voice while enhancing their commonalities around their Lebanese heritage. Our projects and activities are always created for the purpose of highlighting the richness of our country and its vestiges from ancient times.
