"Hboub" Project

“….And the dream came true”

Initially, the dream, this blur vision of theatres, classrooms, studio, instruments, music, books… spread disorderly on one giant, multicolor painting. It was time for action! Suddenly, the dream of one man became the purpose of a whole Association:  “As Sawt El Atiq” (The Voice of One Time).

It is in “Hboub” that this blur vision became crystal clear, in this magnificent and outstanding location, where the mountains will applaud artists performing at this roman theatre, defending our precious musical legacy. This theatre that will be worth of “the sky that it has for vault and of the sun that it has for a torch”. It is in that site that the books of the library will transport us to the world of our ancestors. It is in those classrooms that coming generations will discover the music that worship and glorify. It is in those studios that our musical heritage will be recorded and passed on. And to smooth those cold winter nights, a heavenly music with magical notes, coming out of this precious shell, the covered theatre, will warm the hearts and sway the mountains.

This is how the combination of arts with thousand sparkles is materializing today. Proud of our heritage, Proud of our mission, this project is the guarantee that our voice will always be heard, and our identity forever preserved.

“Hboub” is not just a construction project, it is mainly our dream “to build our future at the image of the past” (Gide).
