The "Children's Choir of As-Sawt Al-Atiq" resumes its rehearsals and activities for the year 2009-2010 under the name of "Coro Aquilina”.
In the early centuries, when Christians were cruelly persecuted, many children glorified the Lord. Undergoing great suffering, they demonstrated extraordinary spiritual endurance and unwavering faith.
St. Aquilina of Byblos, respecting the Lord's commandments, relying strongly on His mercy and praying fervently, taught his friends that "The only true God, the Creator of heaven, earth and seas and all what lives in" is the one over whom “Death has no power. He has risen from the dead and by His blood He redeemed all those who believe in Him and gave them eternal life. He is the Savior of all ".
Dying at the age of 12, Aquilina teaches us that we must serve God, learn His commandments and try to do His will.
Today, our children have decided to carry high the torch of their Saint, thus testifying to their great love and their inalterable faith. Jesus-Christ said: “Let the children come towards me, because of such is the Kingdom of heaven” (Marc 10:14).
"Coro Aquilina", the Lord knows the innocence of your hearts and your thoughts. He hears your prayers and gives you his assistance, without which we are all weak.
Good luck.
